Oil and gas workers are on strike in Kazakhstan (see http://www.socialistworld.net/index.php/5132)
The Socialist Movement Kazakhstan, the trade unions 'Odak' and 'Zhanartu' and representatives of other workers' organisations, announced a 'national day of solidarity' on 16 June.
Also, this week, a Kazakhstan 'parliamentary delegation' is due to visit Brussels. To coincide with these events, this picket has been organised of the Kazakhstan embassy in London.

The coronavirus crisis has laid bare the class character of society in numerous ways. It is making clear to many that it is the working class that keeps society running, not the CEOs of major corporations.
The results of austerity have been graphically demonstrated as public services strain to cope with the crisis.
